Johanna Barner

Johanna Barner – Interior Architect SIO, Sustainability Specialist, Project Manager and Workplace Developer

I am an Interior Architect and Project Manager with nearly twenty years of professional experience, working broadly across spatial design, project management, sustainability and workplace development. I have a strong background in the design of commercial spaces, hotels, spas, retail stores, shopping centres and restaurants, as well as in workplace and real estate development projects.

I am known for my ability to see the big picture and to combine aesthetic vision, functionality and the client’s business objectives. I have led extensive multidisciplinary projects ranging from small spatial transformations to large-scale developments up to 50,000 m², working closely with major property owners, international and domestic companies, hotels and other commercial operators.

As a project manager and design team lead, I have developed solid leadership, budgeting and organisational skills. My areas of expertise include sustainability, circular economy, carbon footprint calculation, lighting and acoustic design, as well as user-centred workplace development. At the core of my work are high-quality design, a deep understanding of the customer experience and a solution-oriented approach.
