JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re in search of a Lead UX/UI Product Designer who exhibits an exceptional command of design craft to join us in forging extraordinary digital products. As a Lead Product Designer, you’ll orchestrate the development and execution of design strategies for web, mobile, and platform interfaces. You’ll thrive in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team that includes product managers, industrial designers, and engineers, both software and hardware.

Your role demands a commitment to developing functional, efficient, and enchanting human-centered products that address the dual objectives of user satisfaction and business success.

You’ll oversee a diverse range of projects, from conceptualizing user-friendly interfaces for home networking solutions like Nokia WiFi and Nokia Corteca, to pioneering endeavors within the smart home or enterprise sectors. You must be adept at distilling complex technical challenges into streamlined, user-friendly solutions while crafting emotional connections and brand identities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of our team, you will:

  • Showcase end-to-end design process across multiple projects.
  • Create interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, high-fidelity prototypes, and consider impact and scale of work.
  • Collaborate with industry-leading initiatives across the company.
  • Drive UX and design conceptual sketches, wireframe information architecture, and low to high-fidelity mock-ups, and interaction specifications.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Build trust and work collaboratively with partner teams.
  • Experience in leading strategic thinking across a large product space.
  • Developing product goals, identifying opportunities in a global market, and making decisions based on impact to people and the company
  • Experience representing work to executive teams and leading workshops.
  • Creating user stories, personas, and storyboards
  • Expertise in working with quantitative and qualitative research, including usability testing, analytics, user interviews, and A/B testing.
  • Experience working with a design organization, regularly incorporating feedback, applying, and contributing to a design system.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 11+ years of experience building and shipping applications or software at a company level, leading the end-to-end experience within a large-scale, ambiguous domain.
  • Interaction Design experience defining and evangelizing how an experience should behave based on understanding people’s needs, plus consideration of how this innovation will scale and examples using of appropriate prototyping tools in demonstrating how a particular interaction will work.
  • Visual Design experience with a high-level grasp of leveraging typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography and aesthetic sense and how these elements impact product function
  • Demonstrable track record in leading strategic thinking across a large product space, developing product goals, identifying opportunities in a global market, and making decisions based on the impact to people and the company.
  • Experience representing work to executive teams, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts.
  • Experience leading workshop and creating user stories, personas, and storyboards.
  • Experience working with quantitative and qualitative research including usability testing, analytics, user interviews, and A/B testing.
  • Experience working with a design organization, regularly incorporating feedback, applying, and contributing to a design system.
  • A portfolio showing your high quality, thoughtful UI and UX work.
  • Absolute mastering the craft in using Adobe Creative Cloud apps and Figma.
