Marcelo Guajardo Davila

Marcelo Guajardo Dávila is a Mexican–Spanish industrial designer, photographer and design researcher based in Helsinki.

His work moves between objects, materials and sensory experiences, combining research, hands-on experimentation and playful exploration. He is interested in how unfamiliar ways of creating can reveal unexpected connections and open new possibilities for design.

Alongside his own practice, he helps others develop ideas, make prototypes and document creative processes. His experience includes artisan collaboration in Mexico, additive-manufacturing workshop support at Aalto University and photography and audiovisual work for creative organisations.

Marcelo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Contemporary Design at Aalto University (Finland). His work has been exhibited internationally in cities including Stockholm, Milan, Paris, Helsinki, Tallinn, and Mexico City, participating in exhibitions and platforms focused on experimental, collectible, and interdisciplinary contemporary design practices.
