FASHION DESIGNER
for Stockmann Fashion Category, responsible for creating the brand identity, seasonal trend directions and commercial collections in own brand´s end to end process according to Stockmann own brands’ strategy.
This is a permanent position. You will be located in Helsinki, in our Flag Ship Store. We work in a hybrid model so 2-3 days at office.
Where is your expertise needed?As a Designer, you will play a key role in shaping and developing our own brand by creating commercially successful, customer-focused collections that align with the brand identity, strategy, and business objectives. You will combine trend awareness, consumer insights, and market analysis to translate emerging trends into inspiring products and collections.In this role, you will lead the design process from concept to final product, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the right balance of design, quality, price, and sustainability. You will contribute to collection planning, product development, sample reviews, fittings, and brand storytelling, while continuously seeking new opportunities to strengthen the brand and enhance the customer experience.
You will also support brand growth through collection presentations, marketing collaboration, sales training, and participation in brand events, helping to build a strong and distinctive brand presence across all customer touchpoints.
What are we looking for?We are looking for a commercially minded Designer with a degree in Fashion Design (or a related field) and a minimum of three years of experience in commercial fashion design and assortment building. You have a strong understanding of product development, trends, and customer needs, and can translate insights into commercially successful collections.
You are a proactive and collaborative professional who thrives in an international environment and is comfortable managing multiple priorities. With a passion for fashion, sustainability, and brand development, you confidently drive ideas forward and create high-quality products that strengthen the brand and compete with leading global players. Fluency in both English and Finnish, as well as proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office are required.
