License is the most important contractual tool for designers. Licensing allows designers to remain as owners of their design but also allows customers to utilize the design. Understanding the structure of a license and license agreement can make difference in a designer’s career.

This webinar will go over the most important parts of the license agreement and share best practices and negotiation tips for designers. In this webinar Ornamo’s lawyer Iiris Adenius tells about how to commercialize your rights without selling your intellectual property. Senior Counsel from HPP Attorneys Silja Järvinen will be joining the discussion with Iiris.

You will learn for example:

  • what is the difference between exclusive and non-exclusive licenses
  • what does an indemnity clause mean and how should it be addressed
  • how to structure compensation in a license agreement
