Käsintehtyä luksusta, lamput, veistokset ja kukkaruukut valmistetaan Someron, Kultelan kylän punasavesta. Materiaali luo astioihin ihanan rehevän maanläheisen luonteen.
Tuotteidensa kotimaisella raaka-aine valinnalla haluan korostaa talonpoikaisen ja ainutlaatuisen luonnon saven arvoa. Suomalainen savi on lämminhenkinen, kodikas ja ennen kaikkea eettinen ja ekologinen valinta, sillä se ei raaka-aineena vaadi monimutkaista prosessointia ja se poltetaan matalassa lämpötilassa (UDUMBARAssa aurinkosähköllä) valmiiksi tuotteeksi.
UDUMBARAn tuotteet on käsin dreijattua, uniikkia pien sarjaa. En koe että on tarvetta tuottaa paljon esineitä maailmaan joka on jo ihan “ähkyssä” liiasta tuotannosta. Jos kotimainen luonnon savi ja dreijaus kiinnostaa; Udumbara studiolla Helsingin Kalliossa järjestetään keramiikka kursseja.
Tervetuloa myös vierailulle. Studio on auki sopimuksen mukaan, varmista paikallaoloni varaamalla aika nettisivujen kautta.
